The Encontro Nacional de Física da Matéria Condensada
will take place 18 and 19 of February, 2010. The purpose is to create
stronger bonds, within the portuguese scientific community, between basic
and applied science on one hand, and between theoretical and experimental
physics on the other hand. At the Encontro will be given emphasis to
works that are of potential interest to the various communities.
The topics covered will range among the various areas of Condensed
Matter Physics. Students are encourajed to present their works and
to participate in the meeting.
The organization of the Encontro is composed of

Almeida (Instituto Tecnológico e Nuclear, Sacavém), João Pedro Alpuim
(Universidade do Minho), Vítor Amaral (Universidade de Aveiro), Miguel Araújo
(Universidade de Évora), José Carmelo (Universidade do Minho), Ricardo Dias
(Universidade de Aveiro), Margarida Godinho (Universidade de Lisboa), João
Lopes dos Santos (Universidade do Porto), Iveta Pimentel (Universidade de
Lisboa) and the local organizers Pedro D. Sacramento (IST, Universidade Técnica de
Lisboa) and Vítor Rocha Vieira (IST, Universidade Técnica de Lisboa)
The oral presentations and the posters will be presented in english due to the expected participation of students, post-docs and visiting scientists and professors
of foreign nationalities.
